Chewonki Campground is extremely beautiful, peaceful, and well maintained. Pam and Anne were incredibly warm and friendly hosts, full of great information they were more than happy to give/share. I drive up from N.Y.C. for quick camping weekends in Maine, so it's very important when I find a new place to camp there are no surprises. The only surprise here was that it was even more beautiful than pictured. I highly recommend Chewonki and I definitely plan on returning!
First night here of several; the hosts are friendly and helpful, the restrooms/ showerhouses are quite nice (note tho: showers are 25 cents for 8 minutes), the pool looks great, and the sites we have are absolutely gorgeous. Looking forward to this week.
Favorite place to camp. From the views, the grounds and most important, Pam and Ann. They make you feel like family. Chewonki never disappoints.
Choosing large sites for RVs and tents, your experience is 5 star. Overlooking a tidal marsh your quiet time is enhanced more by nature than machine. Families and older couples camp in harmony here. We're coming back for a longer stay.
Stayed there over two nights and loved the place. This is our new favorite campground and we'll go back again.
